Just Objects has over seven years experience in providing Java training for clients in many sectors. We teach Java from the basics up to J2EE (Enterprise Java) and OO design with Java. In addition, we teach related technologies such as XML.
The following aspects make our training approach unique, resulting in many happy students over the years.
As the most important aspect, Just Objects ensures that your trainer is a Java-expert who gets his/her hands dirty with Java code every day. This means that besides coverage of the course material, knowledge and examples of using Java in real-world projects are communicated. In evaluations, our students highly appreciated these latter facets.
Although we do provide standard Java courses, in most cases we assemble courses tailored towards individual client needs. During an assessment session we discuss your (upcoming) projects, training requirements and student backgrounds. Together we will select from our online catalog the appropriate modules and/or lessons to assemble the course material.
As a result of our component-based approach for developing the training materials, we are able to assemble any complete course in minutes from available modules and lessons. In cases where a subject is not available we can quickly develop new modules.
All our training material is in HTML (and PDF for printing), made easy to browse and navigate. In addition we believe that our material is more complete than many other training providers. We provide not only slides, but also background material, example code, exercises, answers and development software. All these assets are fully integrated and browser-ready. At the beginning of each course, each student will receive a CD-ROM with the complete browsable course material plus all additional software required to make exercises (SDK, IDE etc) and much more. In addition you will get your own private website where updates, news etc. are provided. Updates for the material are made available even after the course is finished.
We believe in open standards, Open Source and are prepared to eat our own dogfood, i.e. all our training materials are developed in XML, generated through Java/XSLT to HTML and are freely available on the web. This has allowed us to develop component-based training materials, do customer-specific selection plus assembly and automated generation. Just Objects was one of the founders of CowCatcher, an Open Source collective of Java developers who jointly work on both authoring tools and the training material content.
As described above we usually assemble a course together with you. A course comprises a number of modules. Each module comprises a number of lessons. Our online catalog lists all available modules and lessons.
You can pick and choose from this catalog, define your own modules or start from one of the standard Java courses and add/delete modules.

At this moment we don't provide public training. Our usual way of working is that we provide courses in-house, usually at the customer's premises. If required we can also organize a classroom.
